Radiesse is a gel made from calcium hydroxyapatite, a naturally occurring product. It is injected just beneath the skin to add definition where support structures have atrophied or to smooth wrinkles. The hand rejuvenation treatment with Radiesse has similar effectiveness and duration to its use in the face. It lasts approximately 1-1.5 years and is gradually converted to collagen by the body. Typically, 1/2 to 1 syringes are used per hand.
After a treatment, there may be mild swelling for a few days and a little bruising is possible. The hands will look much smoother and softer immediately.
