Liposonix is a new FDA-approved completely non-invasive treatment for fat reduction. Liposonix uses high-intensity focused ultrasound to remove fat.

How Liposonix Works
Liposonix uses ultrasound waves that are focused to a point below the skin. The focused beam heats up the fat to 56 degrees Celsius, thus destroying it. Over 8-12 weeks, the destroyed fat is eliminated from the body through the lymphatics and the liver.

How do I know if I’m a good candidate for Liposonix?
Liposonix requires the right thickness of fat in order to be effective. You should have fat that is about an inch thick. Greater thicknesses of fatty areas will lead to inadequate results with a single treatment while fat that is only a centimeter thick cannot be reduced with liposonix. In such cases, Tickle Lipo is a better option.
Who performs Liposonix at Celebrtiy Laser Spa?
Liposonix is performed by the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
How long do the results last?
The fat taken out by the Liposonix procedure is truly gone, however, proper diet, exercise and a slightly lower weight are required in order to maintain results. If weight is gained, the remaining fat will increase in size.
Does Liposonix hurt?
There is some discomfort with the procedure, similar to a picking or pinching feeling. Oral pain medication is provided. After the procedure, mild soreness of the treated area as well as a little bruising, do occur. To make your experience even more comfortable, we play movies available online from Netflix during your treatment. So picking out a movie that’s available for streaming on Netflix ahead of time is a good idea.
Do I need to take time off work?
Since there are no surgical incisions and there minimal discomfort after the procedure, no additional time off is needed. There is some soreness the next few days, similar to the sensation after a tough workout. Mild bruising does occur and resolves over 1-2 weeks, similar to typical bruises.
Are there any special aftercare instructions?
Unlike with liposuction or surgery, no special garment, dressings or antibiotics are involved. Ibuprofen is usually adequate for soreness after the procedure. Proper diet and exercise to maintain a slightly lower body weight is ideal to maintain results.
Can Liposonix be repeated?
It is possible to repeat the procedure but 8-12 weeks should be allowed to elapse in order to see the full results of the first treatment.
What body areas can be treated with Liposonix?
Any area typically treated with liposuction can also be treated with Liposonix. Some areas, such as buttocks and the backs and fronts of the thighs can be treated better with Liposonix than with liposuction. Areas that will not be treated at Celebrity Laser Spa include: face, head, neck, spine, forearms, calves and ankles.
