FDA-approved Tickle Lipo is the very latest in liposuction and body sculpting. Tickle Lipo is a revolutionary type of liposuction because it is performed (in the comfort of our surgery center) while the patient is entirely awake, delivering excellent clinical results safely and comfortably. Dr. Alex Kaplan of Celebrity Laser Spa is proud to be the first cosmetic surgeon in Los Angeles to offer the Tickle Lipo procedure.
If you are looking for completely non-invasive fat reduction without any surgery at all, then please see the Liposonix page.

Tickle Lipo FAQ
Who performs the Tickle Lipo at Celebrtiy Laser Spa?
All liposuction treatments are performed by Dr. Alex Kaplan, from the consultation to the procedure itself. Celebrity Laser Spa is the first Tickle Lipo clinic in Los Angeles and Dr. Kaplan is the first Tickle Lipo doctor in Los Angeles.
How much downtime is there after Tickle Lipo?
Patients walk out of the treatment room and are typically able to go home 15-30 minutes later. Most normal activities can be resumed right away. A compression garment is worn for 3 weeks to facilitate re-seating of the skin and optimize liposuction results.
Is there a lot of bruising?
A little bruising is possible, but with Tickle Lipo, there is much less bruising than with traditional liposuction.
Does the Tickle Lipo procedure hurt?
Tickle Lipo is surprisingly comfortable for a number of reasons: 1) Local anesthetic fluid is used 2) The vibration of the cannula that is at the heart of Tickle Lipo is minimally traumatic 3) Dr. Kaplan has a very gentle touch (see the videos!). As an extra measure of comfort, your choice of online Netflix movies are available for you to view on a large flat screen tv during your procedure.
When will I see results?
You will see a dramatic change immediately and throughout the first week as fluid leaves the treated area. Maximum results will occur over the following 3 to 6 months.
Where can I see more before and after liposuction photos?
Dr. Kaplan will review before and after photos from among his cases during your consultation.
How much does Tickle Lipo cost?
Tickle Lipo is very affordable – see the Tickle Lipo price list above. Also, since no IV sedation or general anesthesia is needed, there are no surgery center or anesthesiologist charges. Since everyone has a unique body and distribution of fat, we recommend that you come in for a consultation with Dr. Kaplan to see just how affordable Tickle Lipo is. The more areas you have treated, the lower the price per area. Celebrity Laser Spa also offers various financing options.
How much does a consultation cost?
A consultation with Dr. Kaplan is only $100, which will be credited to the Tickle Lipo or Liposonix procedure that you choose.
Are there scars after the procedure?
Although scarring is possible with any surgical procedure, only 2-3 tiny holes are needed for most areas of the body. They are so small that stitches aren’t even needed. If you are looking for completely noninvasive fat reduction without any surgery, then please see the Liposonix page.
Which is better – Tickle Lipo or Laser Lipo?
A disadvantage of “laser” lipolysis is that it requires the extra step of melting fat with laser energy. This introduces the risk of burns and makes sculpting more challenging. With Tickle Lipo, fat is removed as the procedure goes on, allowing for more control and superior liposculpture. There is no risk of burns and the procedure is much faster.
Do I need to wear special garments after Tickle Lipo?
We will provide special compression garments for you to wear for after surgery. It is recommended to wear them for 3 weeks in most cases.
Will fat come back after liposuction?
If you gain weight or if a large amount of fat is removed and you do not also lose weight after liposuction, it may come back to the same or other locations in the body. Please see the detailed blog post on this topic for more thorough discussion of this issue.
Can I get a consultation?
Yes. Dr. Kaplan will go over the procedure, as well as its risks, benefits, and alternatives. Please contact us to schedule a consultation with Dr. Kaplan to see if liposuction with Tickle Lipo is right for you.
